The City of Fairview, Tennessee was officially incorporated on July 28, 1959. It was incorporated under the Uniform City Manager-Commission Charter as set out in Tennessee Code Annotated. Fairview residents have access to several other cities by traveling either TN Hwy. 100 or Hwy. 96 where they are provided with direct access to Interstate 40. To further enhance the transportation network, the expanding SR-840 loop is a mere 5 miles from the development of Fairview's new City Hall and Town Center. When completed, 840 will be opening the new Fairview's I-840 Interchange.
